Timing Belt Pulleys

Post by chip18sw »

Ok after purchasing a Gates Belt and with advise from this site, I was finally able to get the timing belt on. Car is a 2000 Daewoo Nubria with the 2 liter motor.
I have a question about the lip on the pullies. On the Intake side the lip is to the outside, so the belt can't ride forward. On the exhaust the lip is toward the block? I tried it with the lip to the outside but it did not seem to fit that way. So I put the lip to the rear on the exhaust side. Is that correct?

I don't understand very well the problem as I don't see any "lips" on pulley. Can you post a pic?
