I would say have your battery and alternator tested to see if they're functioning correctly.

Not sure if it's the same as the 1.6, but if it is, look down under the dash behind the radio on the driver's side. There is an OBDII connection there.

I've had the same problem with my oil cap. I have yet to find a replacement cap or a fix for the problem.

Seriously... Some of those cars, despite being dirty, appear to be in AWESOME condition.

The internet. There are plenty of places on the internet to buy them. Try typing "Lanos Valve Cover Gasket" in google. Or look on Ebay... That's about your only options really.

If you can find a valve cover gasket for a Lanos at your local Autozone, you're very very lucky.
