Motor mount fixed... now hard to get into 5th gear. Ideas?
Okay... so my motor mount on the right side of my car was not on correctly and had the engine hanging down a little to the right (when facing the front of the car). I got it fixed (they had to drill it out and re-tap the hole where a bolt had sheared off), but now that it's fixed and the engine is l...

well im glad its getting fixed, but i still think we could have gotten it, but thats one less thing for us to fix when you come to detroit. After I inspected it today, I also didn't feel comfortable waiting until I go there. I had this feeling like if I didn't fix it right now, the other bolts were...

My Woo is in the shop getting a bolt extracted...
Well... my 2000 Lanos is in the shop. Up until now I've done almost all of the work on it myself, but this was something that wasn't something I felt I could do on my own after researching it. Check it out: http://www.johnnygfx.com/images/daewootech/Sheared_Bolt.jpg Yeah... so it seems one of the bo...

Hell yeah. :D We had a great time. :) We're planning on another day when I head over to his place and we do some work on my Woo. She needs some help and I don't have some of the stuff I need here to do it. So Daewoomofo has offered to help me out, which is pretty groovy. Oh... and I know I look pret...

The codes for the high input low output thing sound a lot like the Cam Position Sensor codes when it is failing. The misfire Cylinder 1 code sounds similar to the problem I have all the time with mine reporting a misfire on cylinder 1 when traveling at higher speed (60-75mph). One of these days I'm ...

Thanks for the insite, I have emailed Deawoo and am awaiting their reply. Do you know where the fuse is spliced in at, and what size fuse? Thanks JohnnyC Timmay They spliced the wire up near the Cam Position Sensor, they changed out the one that was in there and replaced it with a different one as ...

The low voltage message was the same I was getting before I had the recall work done. Which actually wasn't so much a problem with the cam sensor itself as it needed a fuse in the line to the cam position sensor. If I were you, I would call Daewoo directly and have them look up your VIN number. Some...

Power Steering Pump compatibility
Does anyone know if the power steering pump is the same on the Aveo as it is on the Lanos. Lanowoo's power steering pump went out on her and the Daewoo one is more expensive than the Aveo one. So if anyone has a good idea for her could you reply to this and I'll relay the info (she doesn't have gene...

Or so I thought... They sent me an email saying they canceled the order and told me on the phone they had canceled the order, but then they decided to charge our account anyway, which gave us a $32 overdraft fee (since we spent some of the money that would have gone into the canceled order)... so no...

Another update... DaewooUS called me back, but instead of giving me the dimensions, they went to their test car and pulled the original bolt off the test car and are going to FedEx me the bolt for free. I still have to use the rubber parts and such from my old one that is still attached to my old co...

More news on this... DaewooUS is out of stock on three of the four parts I need to do a brand new/proper repair job on that... SO... Anyone happen to have the dimensions of that bolt? I'll have to get over to my Aunt's house to pick up my old control arm (which still has that attached to it (I think...
