Re: Cielo1600 DOHC Camshaft

I believe all the 16V Opel 1.6L are the same, just find one around 2000 and you should be fine.

Re: GSi Turbo Project

Well, it would seem it's likely that the car is coming back into my possession ( with some damage ) but I hope to have the time to get her back up and running nicely with the 8V C20GET this summer.

Re: Turbo Optra - Now on tuned Haltech @ 225whp

Seems like the engine mount was a great place for your sensor change, interesting design, hopefully it helps.

How did you end up securing it to the cam? Just a dowel or screw or weld?

Re: Engine Transplant for 88 LeMans

Hey, sorry haven't been on in a while. I would not transplant a Nubira or Leganza, I would go straight to the 2.0L Sunbird engine ( 8V Turbo ) as it is more compatible with your wiring loom. So I am confused about your questions, what transmission/gearbox are you using ? Auto or 5spd ? Tuning is not...

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

BUMP.... sad that it's been three months without a single conversation... Serious ghost town here.. :( honestly I barely see Daewoo's on the street anymore, a lanos here or there but never a nubira or leganza In fact the number of Optra's has gone down significantly as well, I blame the timing belt...

Re: c20get

I have seen guys on each end of the spectrum, honestly I don't exactly know what to make of it either and I have been playing with C20GET's for over 15 years. I haven't played much with timing, for the most part I was happy with the stock engine with stock management at around 12psi in a lighter car...

Re: Australian Turbo Nubira

I made one a while back, quite a bit of work so I'm not sure I'd want to tackle another one. You can get them from the UK, just look on Migweb and look for a manifold for a Z20LET. As well you should have the Z20LET in Australia, do you have any Holden 2.0L turbo cars?? In the UK they were in the "V...

Re: Newbie with lacetti sport 1.8

Any of the iron block vauxhall 2.0L engines are compatible ( ideally newer like the Z20LET from the VXR ) The big thing would be engine management, as the Z20LET likely wiring harness and management is different. I had a 1991 Astra MK2 with a 2.0L Daewoo engine built up with C20LET and Z20LET parts ...

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

Lanos shares parts with lots of other GM/OPEL cars, parts should not be all that hard to come by.

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

oh, and of course thanks to the people that keep this thing id alive, even if it is at a slow idle. I haven't seen a lanos locally for a few years, I think my lanos and the lanos owned by gsiturbo might be the last ones around. Very rarely do I see a nubira or leganza either and the number of lacet...
