Re: Problem with heated selection daewoo lanos 2000
There are three cables ( if my memory is correct ) for selection of vent and heat. It's likely one is disconnected or the plastic tab has been broken off ( perhaps from installation of aftermarket stereo ) Based on language and the fact that the above person seems to be driving a RHD lanos, the posi...

Re: Lanos Sleeper
Personally I would aim towards the 2.0L engine due to the easy availability of parts and it has a much larger support. It is very hard to say what the 1.6L will be capable of due to the fact that there are very few 1.6L Turbo projects that have a true "Daewoo" block The 2.0L has been tested and has ...

Re: Perfect power management
I'm really in two minds about spending any more money on this car or saving up for an Astra G GSI like what my partner has. Seems like you guys had all kinds of different Astra models, found this one, very nice but more money than I would have expected for a 9yr old car http://www.autotrader.com.au...

Re: Perfect power management
Perfect Power was always decently priced, my friend ( who owned a tuning shop ) was able to get complete units for around $150 roughly 5 yrs ago.
They are good units, I do not remember a single complaint.

Re: Perfect power management
Yes, they've been around for a long time, like any other piggyback, there is a learning curve with respect to wiring, setup and tuning. Over all they are a decent price point for what you get. I know a few guys who installed them for controlling extra injectors, this way they were able to get decent...

Re: 1986 Pontiac Sunbird GT (C18GET)
Just noticed the comment on facebook about looking for a manual to drop into the sunbird, if you do plan to do this I would suggest looking at a performance clutch/pressure plate so that you save yourselves headache in the future.

Re: 1986 Pontiac Sunbird GT (C18GET)
What he wants to do basically is take a later engine bloc and swap it into his Sunbird with th DOHC head and other stuff to make something that has good potential. What are your goals for power ? Is it an automatic or manual ? What is your budget for the project ? Given the 16V engines in North Ame...

Re: Scary shaking coming from my Nubira
Perhaps you have a combination of a warped rotor and a contaminated brake pad, it's possible the contaminated pad will cause a higher coefficient of friction to begin with when it's cold and slowly fade out causing the problem to decrease significantly as you drive. Personally, I'd go right to repla...

Re: Flow-bench testing 2.0 16v Eco head.
Over all the only way to get really good data would be to have a U20SED and a C20XE head on the same exact flow bench with the same conditions, but it is interesting to see that based on these numbers, the U20SED isn't that bad.

Re: Flow-bench testing 2.0 16v Eco head.
Here is a decent site for comparisons of flow ( including Vauxhall/Opel engines such as the C20XE and ECOTEC ) http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tablehdc.htm#Opel The description of numbers are not that great, I'm guessing at a few of them based on their descriptions 1st line = flow of intake / flow of...
