Re: Turbo Optra - Now on tuned Haltech @ 225whp

I'm still talking to Garrett about my build. His new kid was born in March and he also took over another shop in January, so I think he's just really busy. You'll probably have more luck calling him at his new shop: http://instagram.com/creativeautodesign He did send me some of my parts back in Nove...

Yep, I've noticed that they stay in the Outbox until the user reads it, after which it goes into Sent.

Stock 1.6 oil pump gear looks good. Hopefully I won't face any issues with it.

Re: Ultimate 2.0 16v turbo build

Dang, that's aggressive! I'm only aiming for about 300hp for my 1.6T build. For a start, anyway. But then, I'm not talking about a water-to-air intercooler integrated into the plenum or a rebuilt oil pump!!! This is going to be one real monster build!

Re: Ultimate 2.0 16v turbo build

I'm getting a custom aluminium intake manifold from gse_turbo for the 1.6L E-TEC II engine block, so I'd be surprised if he wasn't doing one up for this build!

Re: Ultimate 2.0 16v turbo build

Nice! I see you've learnt some stuff along the way with my build as well! What's your target for the build in terms of RPMs, boost, and total power? One of the things I'm wondering for my build now is whether the stock oil pump can keep up at the higher RPMs, specifically, whether I'm going t...

Re: life changes

Cliff, I haven't shared this with anybody else, not even my parents and siblings, but only Garrett here knows who I am, so here goes. I don't know the full details, of course, and I'm not judging anything that you do or saying that you need to go one way or another. About 8 years ago, a few years af...

More accurately, I think that is the Daewoo Lacetti Premiere / Chevrolet Cruze / Holden Cruze steering wheel.

Step 6, which follows immediately after Step 5: (In Step 5, a test light is connected between relay coil terminals 86 and 85 in the relay harness connector.) Step 6. 1. With the test light connected to ground, probe the ignition feed circuit in the relay harness connector. 2. Turn the ignition ON. 3...

Re: Help with DTC P0481

Firstly, I note that the manual says that the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL, what you refer to as the Engine Check Light) will only go off after 3 consecutive validation cycles in which the diagnostic runs without a fault. I'm assuming that if you clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) using your...

Re: 1.6L Daewoo E-TEC II Engine Build

BTW, I forgot to mention that I've picked 1 bar boost because that'll bring the output torque to the limit of my transmission. Given that, I then went on to pick the turbocharger that would be able to operate most efficiency at my engine's airflow and boost level, based on the compressor map.
