Don't forget to relieve fuel pressure before disconnecting hoses by: remove fuel pump fuse or relay and try to start engine. I don't think that's very important. I removed my FPR also without relieving pressure on the fuel line. It sprays a bit of fuel around and that's it. But thanks for the idea ...

How do I get to the fuel-pump? Do I have to take the gastank out of the car or is the pump accessible without dissasembling the car?

In case of fuel pump I would change small motor only. I already swapped the Malpassi RRFPR back to the original FPR but the symptoms stay. I guess my fuel pump is down...

well follow it down the line: you installed the RRFPR (did the problem occur as soon as it was installed, or when you fiddled with it a bit?) maybe an incorrect setting put too much fuel into the engine> which in turn might have fouled the spark plugs> or maybe fouled the 02 sensor or have you chec...

Gearbox is not in any gear. It's in free position.
Then when I start my engine (holding down the clutch pedal) everything sounds fine. But when I release the clutch (clutch grips on gearbox) a nasty rumble is heard. Could this be a worn clutch-bearing??

Seems like the FPR kicks in far too late. Try another FPR. Or check it's not leaking at the vacuum hose.
