cv boot outer

No matter how many times I read the manual I just cant make sence of it. I need to replace the rubber boot thats closest to the wheel (passenger front). Do I have to take the axle out to change the outer boot or can I do it in place. 1999 Daewoo Lanos 1.5 Litre Manual Hatch..thanks heaps :)

Re: Time for the dreaded TB change

Its a 1999 Daewoo Lanos 1.5 Litre, I couldnt believe I had to go to all that work just to change a thermostat, that why I waited to do it when it was time to change the Timing Belt. "You have to use a new valve cover gasket as well, unless you can still use the old one" You have to take the camshaft...

Time for the dreaded TB change

Time arrived for the dreaded Timing Belt change, it was last done 4 years ago when I bought the car. I had it done by my Local mechanic. This time I thought i'd try and do the job my-self, even though the Lanos has only done abour 30,000 klm since the last change I did not want to risk the time fact...

Re: Thermostat

Thankyou MMamdouh for your reply, I will have to try and remove thermostat another way... there is no way in this world that im going to remove timing belt and upper cover to remove thermostat.. surely a car couldnt be that badly designed. edit: looked at a online manual. Air Conditioning

In the engine bay of my Daewoo lanos 1.5 there are 2 valves with black caps on my air conditioning tubing, when I unscrew caps, one has a valve fitting like you see on a tyre valve, the other is kind of like a ball that has to be pushed in. I gather one is high side and one is low side.... can you p...
