Actually, I know how it should be done. It is the good old water decarbonizing technique. I just need to find either the PCV or brake vacuum hose to do the job. I have the option of using ATF or water. Not exactly easy since I need the RPMs to be kept at 3000 for maximum effect. Two man job. Yes, it...

Rough idle, misfire

Hi everyone, Its been a long time. I'm now encountering really bad problems. Firstly, for all who don't know, I drive a bifuel-CNG Aveo. Here is the chronology of the problem. Since the beginning of this year, I have been getting rough idle and misfires at start up. The usual pop, pop. Clears itself...

Sorry I wasn't tracking this thread. OK the kit is OMVL from Italy. The cylinder is Galileo from Argentina. 60L water capacity. 10kg of CNG. Mileage I am getting with this car. 10kg of gas gets me 235km. Yes the range is limited and you have to visit the refill station often. For me is every three d...

Aveo on CNG

This is my Aveo. Modified to run on Compressed Natural Gas. So the car is now bifuel. Here are the pictures. I have a mod. It saves me on gas because it literally uses gas. How's SGD4.00/100km sound to you? How about SGD1.00/100km sound to you?

I'll be converting my Aveo (Kalos) to use CNG in Jan 07. LPG is just not explored as one of the alternative fuels here. Keep you posted. I've decided to go for the fumigation system instead of SGI. The kit is more portable that way and I can sell the car as a petrol only later and keep the kit for t...

Someone's encounter with Ken Nomura

Yep. It's D1 maestro Ken Nomura. I'd be sweating bullets too if I was asked to try his R34.

i will comment... i think the shell would be better on heat, but still friction is the #1 cause of breakdown.. Engine oil does not feel the ambient temperature. Studies were made. Ambient temperatues do not contribute much to the engine temperature and hence oil temperatures when the engine is at o...

I'm sorry MMamdouh, I missed this post. I would suggest you keep using a 40wt oil. 50 is too high and will indeed rob your engine of power. I live in the tropics with 32 deg C ambient temperatures. I use 30wt oil. 5W30 and 10W30 to be exact. No brand loyalties. Anything comfy to my pocket goes in. I...

Hong Kong Drifting clip on Youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UGFZuG9ZU0 This is a Phoenix (TV station) 10th anniversary video clip. In a way in mocks drifting at the same time has lots of good drift scenes albeit overdone and overused. The baby is sure gonna grow up addicted to G forces. Enjoy. BTW, the actor IS the actua...

Best Motoring Video - WRX STI vs Evo braking duel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAqXz8Iu ... 20motoring

The braking ability of the STI tops over the Evo. In race conditions, this will mean the Evo will understeer while the STI will take the inside of a turn.
