Re: 2002 Lanos Service Manual

Ronald_G wrote:Hi liquidkudzu. Are you still offering the repair manual and does it cover the 2.0L d-tech engine?
Hi,
As far as I know the Lanos never had a 2.0L engine.
What's the problem with your Lanos?

Re: Installing a Lanos Digital clock,

Looking at you location I expect you drive a LHD Lanos. So according to diagram the wiring colors are: pin #2: orange; +12v battery pin #3: black; ground pin #5: purple; +12v after contact (ignition1) pin #6: brown/white; illumination (for dimming purpose, not for backlight) The remaining pins #1 & ...

Can you post a pic of this 3rd bolt?
Is it not the power steering pump in the way?

Counter hold steering piston?

[Nubira SE]

Q1: Is it mandatory to counter hold the power steering rack piston to (un)screw the inner tie rods or is it ok to rely on steering rack fixations?
Q2: Need to coat the M16x1.5 ends with some thread locking fluid?

Thanks

Remove air filter housing box to make place (two screws + collar) then the screws in the recess of top belt cover.

Re: 1998 Lanos mystery part.

I think it's the connector for the stop lamp switch.
Here is the switch.

If only two wires position of them is irrelevant. In the documentation I find pin #1 Brown/Black and pin #2 Red.

I understand. Humor is not always international and is often difficult to pass through simple words without intonnation or emoticons.

Re: Rear bearing tool needed?

Sorry for not having idly waited for forum answers. Since for other of my posts the answers were few or no, I'm not waiting idly but I continue my research in other ways. It was the case here.

Hi,
Welcome back! Was Charlie your previous ID?

Nice engine bay BTW. So old stuff (VGIS/EGR/Canister) removed?
Did you change/modify ECU?
