Daewoo Leganza used short block 2.2L

I bought this engine from Tom @ 360 Dynamics many many years ago and since then I have sold the project car that I was going to use. This engine had about 70,000 miles or so on it when I purchased it and it still spins over easy. I honestly don't know what these things are worth anymore, so someone ...

Sunbird Turbo vacuum diagram...

This was an old file I found on my computer for the routing of all the vacuum lines for the Sunbird's that came with the turbo. I figured maybe someone could use it.

Standalone engine management, what kind are you using??

Hey guys, I am just curious to see what some of you guys were running for aftermarket stand alone engine management control. I was looking at the megasquirt and it seems ok but have an issue. I am retaining the automatic transmission, and will need a way of controlling the lockup of the torque conve...

Hmm I nver herd of the missing bolt holes before. I was under the assumption that the T20 and T22 blocks were the same minus the deck height. If so then I willhave to figure something out. In the meantime however, I have decided to drop my overall expected output of the engine to 300 at the crank as...

Cool. When I went to their site, I saw the parts listed but no prices. I would more than likely be looking at upgrading the valve springs, retainers and locks(if possible) as well as the camshaft. Not sure if this engine uses cam followers like the SOHC engine does, but if they do I will probably tr...

Turbo camshafts...

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew of any companies that made turbo spec camshafts for the T20/22 series engines? I was hoping that I won't have to get them custom made. Kinky, garrett, got any ideas on this one? Was thinking about the Z20LET camshaft but haven't even been able to find specs o...

Well the TO4E 50 trim that I want to run isn't really a big turbo. I am hoping that with the port work that is done on the head, I will be able to gain a substantial amount of airflow through the head at all RPM's. This means that the VE should increase at all points in the RPM range. I am pretty su...

Ok thanks. .5mm is what I had figured so hopefully it won't need to go any bigger when I get it to the machine shop.

Ok that's cool. What are the more popular overbore sizes? .5mm?

Well, personally, I don't want to have to spin the engine over 7K to make peak power. I'd rather do it in the factory rev range as to not have to worry about overrevving valvetrain components. I also do plan on having some headwork done. Not quite sure if you would call it extensive, but just your b...

Even with the turbo attached? That would have been the only reason as to why I would have done it. My main concern with that is valve float. I was hoping to see who has any sort of upgraded valve springs, cam followers, etc to help with issues that would be encountered at higher RPMs.

Max bore of 88mm is it safe??

Just looking to get some more info here. Was looking at daftarts site and saw the wiseco pistons. They make them to a mzx bore of 88mm. I know that the factory bore is 86mm. Would the structural integrity of the engine block be severely compromised if overboring to this extent? I am only asking beca...

Adding redline stability and increasing redline...

Just curious here. What is the factory redline on a T22SED engine? I can only assume that it is the neighborhood of 6000-6500 RPM. Would this be a safe assumption? What would be the best way to safely increase the redline to say 7500 RPM? DO they make upgraded valve springs, retainers, locks, etc. r...

Turbo application camshafts...

Sorry guys, not trying to saturate the board with posts here, but I am still trying to get all my ducks in a row. I would like to find out what camshaft the turbo guys here are running. I am interested in companies that make cams, cam gears, valve springs etc. for a T22SED or equivalent engine. Woul...
