I would really like to know...

...how people get their Lanos' this low? I mean what suspension combinations/setups are they using? http://cs619324.vk.me/v619324849/1595/chjpZ2iRC44.jpg https://h-a.d-cd.net/49ff2au-960.jpg http://cs619324.vk.me/v619324849/1587/7k1d1EU0UGU.jpg https://a-a.d-cd.net/decd94u-960.jpg http://cs608518.vk...

Yeah, it looks that way from the pictures. It's actually littered in dents and scratches. The dark colour just hides it well, unlike silver.

I'm not too fussed about dings and dents - it adds character! lol

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

There are a few other forums that seem to have a ripe following, i.e.: daewooclub.co.uk and lanosclub.com the only problem with a lot of the people on daewooclub is that they are 'purists' - they don't believe in the modified way, which I can safely say is not how we like to do things in wootech lan...

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

Wow this forum is moving slowly after the demise of the original domain name...

...I'm just gonna keep posting stuff regardless. One day it'll be lively again.

Re: Another Lanos!

Thinking of getting some wheels like these:

They remind me a bit of the OEM Daewoo 5 spoke wheels like what was on my previous one.

Re: Wire Low beams to stay on with High beams - Nubira 2002

The other problem is the amount of heat that's emitted from having high and low beams on for prolonged periods of time - they can literally make headlights melt (and it will significantly shorten the lifespan of the bulb if it's like a H4 type where both filaments are in the single bulb, but that wo...

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

HA! Maybe these things and boats are more alike than we first imagined. Having seen that... I recon a Leganza would make for a nice boat, keep the front and side windows in place, but remove the roof and rear window. Move the petrol tank to the front and stick a V8 in the boot, directly powering a m...

Re: Another Lanos!

It has begun! Got a green cotton cone filter for more noise! And replaced the door speakers with 5" Wharfedale 2-ways for crisper noise. Next month, hopefully a decent stereo (it's currently got a factory-option Sony unit) and subwoofer for even more noise. Also looking around for a set of lowering ...

Nah, they're better than boats.

I have no backing to this argument, just another post to keep the longest thread going.

Re: Another Lanos!

Well, this Lanos is different... 3 main differences: no electric windows, no tachometer and no height-adjustable steering column.

But it's no big problem... I'm getting used to. It just means without all the xtras it's lightweight :-)

Final thoughts...

I have tried a couple of times over the last year to track down my old Lanos... http://s30.postimg.org/5plcmuznx/d091da54b41d3055051f06405c0bd5a4.jpg This is what it looked like when I got rid of it - it was painted completely black shortly after this. Insurance and road tax databases show that it h...

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

They're not all that cheap to run over here, but I enjoyed driving my old Lanos more than any other car I've had since then and getting rid of my Lanos is still my biggest regret as far as my car history goes.

...and, forgot to mention...

We have also bought a 2007 Astra H 1.6 3 door hatch, which my wife has absolutely fallen in love with.

More GM goodness.

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!

In the spirit of keeping the longest thread ever going forever I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my return to Daewoo ownership. It is a Lanos (2001 model) in dark green, 3 door hatchback with 1.3 engine (again) with about 60,000 miles on it. I have yet to take delivery of said vehicle, w...
